In August, I got to take my family with me to Sheila and Mike’s wedding. We loaded up the food and ourselves and headed to Tobermory for one of the most unique weddings I’ve seen in a while – on a boat!

The day was perfect, and though we were missing Andrew and Donna back at the “office”, they held down the fort with that day’s deliveries.

The Blue Heron, the name of the boat, made for an intimate venue, which was subtly decorated in beach-like décor. There were bright-coloured leis, flowers and parasols everywhere, and a string duet to set the mood. The paper flowers were also a nice touch as a centrepiece on the food table.

We put together a simple spread of light hors d’oeuvres – finger foods for little clean-up – and the bride and groom gave out maple syrup as their favours. Of course, we couldn’t have pulled it off without the always impeccable help of Black Tie Affair. A job well done to everyone, and huge congratulations to the newlyweds!
