On November 15, we trekked to the River Run Centre in Guelph for “Hope and the City” – a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. We provided an array of tasty finger foods from sushi bites to fresh veggies to a raved about cheese spread. Most importantly, though, we helped with an amazing event to raise money for women’s cancer research.

As always, a big thank you goes out to our friends at Black Tie Affair for working with us and donating time to the event. River Run Centre is a beautiful venue with helpful, friendly staff. And of course, thanks to Donald and Andrew for rocking the kitchen as usual.

Hope and the City was the quintessential girls’ night out, based on the hit TV show Sex and the City. As such, the event included (in addition to our gourmet appetizers) special prizes, an exclusive fashion show, and access to a glamour room and vendor stations.

If you missed the event, there are always opportunities to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society; be sure to visit their website: www.cancer.ca.
