familyLast Tuesday morning we packed up the catering van bright and early and headed to the Waterloo branch of KidsAbility to help at their fundraiser breakfast where they aimed to raise funds for the local program.

My family and I can personally vouch for how special and amazing this organization is. If you aren’t aware, KidsAbility provides rehabilitation services for local children from birth to 18 years old. There are 20 of them across Ontario and it’s a multi-faceted organization that helps children with a range of special needs, including developmental disabilities and delays related to premature birth; medical syndromes (e.g., Down syndrome, autism); physical disabilities (e.g., muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy); and communication difficulties.

The organization offers a range of services and programs, depending on your needs, from health promotion to specialized programs, and offer information, clinical support, group therapy, speech and language therapy, physical therapy, and much more.

If you missed the breakfast last week, there are many other ways you can get involved to support this wonderful organization. Visit the website to learn more about ways to donate: www.kidsability.ca/en/en/whygive.
