With food prices continually on the rise, we’re always trying to find meal ideas that won’t break the bank but are still full of flavour. Recently we whipped up this simple but satisfying recipe that uses only a few spices (though ones that are packed with flavour!) and of course, locally sourced honey for a sweet finish.
Local honey and curry grilled chicken drumettes
12 drumettes or chicken drumsticks
2 tbsp. curry
2 tbsp. cumin
1 tsp. cinnamon
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Local honey
Place chicken in a dish, add all marinade ingredients and let sit for 1 hour. Place the chicken on a preheated grill on low. After 15 to 20 minutes turn over. After approximately 30 minutes begin brushing local honey over the drumsticks. The drumsticks are done when the internal temperature is 160 degrees. Enjoy!
